Aftermath of Our Rise

This is a protest art piece that displays the struggle for a voice in Ghana. The artwork features a girl with an afro as the central figure, standing against a backdrop of Ghanaian national newspaper front pages. The newspapers, peeling off, symbolise the failure of the media to give a voice to the people.

The art specifically addresses the morning after Day 1 of the #OccupyJulorbiHouse protest, where the media failed to highlight the pressing issues the people faced
